If you love food, urban lifestyle, travel, living your best life or all of the above…I think you and I will get along just fine. I will be posting mostly easy to prepare healthy recipes (some more fun than healthy) that can be made during a busy work week that fit just about any budget. I also throw in a sprinkle of decadent recipes to treat yourself and your family.

Do you happen to live in a metropolitan city? With so many people deciding to stay in a big city while raising their family, I want to inspire you to enjoy big city life just as you would while living in the suburbs or in the countryside. Living in a big city has wonderful benefits that I hope to help you and your family take advantage of.

Do you love to travel? Yeah? Me too. When may of us begin a family, we think of travel being a thing of the past. I want to show you that you can still travel both locally and internationally, even with children! I hope to encourage you to budget and plan for some fun trips of your own. I will share tips and tricks on where and when to go and where to stay for all different budgets.

Meet Samantha

Urban Mom Trying Everyday to Live My Best Life

Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me here at My Sweet Urban Life. I am a wife and mom of two amazing children who are inspiring me to try to be my best self everyday. I love big city living but also have a bit of country girl in me, she comes out in my choices in food and how I live. I love to eat (a lot), travel (as much as possible), cook (mostly healthy, but sometimes not so much) and try to make the most of what we have.

I have loved food my entire life. For as long as I can remember I have had my own cooking show (in my mind anyway).  I was about 8 years old when I began to cook and started the Samantha show (my cooking show). After undergrad, I even attended culinary school…for 6 months! I dropped out after I realized that I am not cut out to work in a restaurant. I hope to share with you some of the tips and tricks I have learned over the years. I also have a passion for travel and try to go anywhere and everywhere as often as possible. I hope to inspire you to enjoy cooking for your family and to travel and take in as many experiences as humanly possible.

10+ years a husband and two kids later, I am starting this blog in hopes to inspire you to enjoy cooking for your family, to travel and take in as many experiences as humanly possible.
